Neagu Djuvara Historian, philosopher and Romanian diplomat

Constantin is not a 'classic' photographer. He does not pose his model for the best look and does not 'frame' a monument to make a postcard out of it. Nope. He quests after the rare image, the snippet of life that doesn't show off, the unexpected contrast. This is why his photographs are not mere pics - they are art work. Constantin is an artist, a sometimes lucky one, because chasing an image often fails to produce the extraordinary! We'll surely see more from Constantin.

Mihai Sora Philosopher, member of Romanian Academy

Between the extremes of possible photographs - elaborately staged (in a studio or outdoors) and purely random, totally out of focus - the pictures of Mr. Constantin, either very serious black and white or more scenic, in natural colors, are spontaneously rationalized as thoroughly balanced compositions between the four sides of the image he offers to our eyes. This spontaneous combination of picturesque and organized seems to me the basic quality of a hunter of significant reality, which Mr. C doesn't lack. Not at all.

Alexandru Paleologu Writer, essayist, literary critic and Romanian diplomat

"You have the gift of de-uglifying the world. You get it out of the ugliness it felled in. You restore its archetypal face of great refinement and distinction".
Constantin has the gift of capturing the second.
